When the summer sun melts the snow from Oregon’s top ski and snowboard destination, Mt. Bachelor offers exciting summertime activities, including hiking, chairlift rides, nature walks, sunset dinners, disc golf and summer dog sled rides. Located in the Deschutes National Forest in Central Oregon’s high desert, Mt. Bachelor is a breathtaking wilderness for mountain hiking with awesome hiking trails that lead to the 9,065’ summit. Enjoy kayaking and fishing on the many Cascade lakes that surround the mountain.

How long is the Mt. Bachelor ski season?

Ski season usually starts in late November and runs well into May. The largest ski resort in Oregon, Mt. Bachelor is blessed with gorgeous weather and 387 inches of fresh powder snow annually with 1,600 acres groomed daily for your winter ski adventures.

How do I get to the mountain?

Getting to Mt. Bachelor from Bend is a breeze by car and bus. Our hotel are only 20 to 25 minutes by car to the mountain and ski area and you can easily find a map and routes at Hop on the Mt. Bachelor Shuttle at the Bend Park-N-Ride lot on SW Columbia Street between Galveston and Simpson. You can purchase your shuttle tickets at Ray’s Food Place, and buses run daily and depart from 7 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
